ORGANIC CONVERSION
Vergers Ecoresponsables
For more than 20 years, apple growers committed to an eco-responsible production approach have shared the same ethic: producing healthy, tasty and quality fruit with production methods that respect the environment and biodiversity in orchards, while ensuring the economic balance of farms.
Ecoresponsible Orchards is the label that identifies apples and pears produced as part of this approach since 2011.
Located between organic and conventional agriculture, this progress approach is based on the principles of integrated fruit production, focusing on orchard observation, biological control methods and advanced techniques to ensure quality production for all consumers.
This new generation of apple growers is making a lasting commitment to modern arboriculture, which preserves and feeds on natural balances in order to remain in harmony with the world around it.
The Eco-responsible Orchards label, recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture, is the first in the Fruit & Vegetables sector to have obtained the Environmental Certification of Agricultural Operations (level 2) in 2013.
Organic Farming
Organic agriculture refers to practices that respect ecological balances, animal welfare and farmers' autonomy.
By excluding synthetic chemicals and GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms), and by using natural seeds, farmers who have chosen this method of cultivation protect the planet and its natural balances.
Globalgap GRASP
Good agricultural practices are not only about products; they are also a human story.
Globalgap GRASP is a voluntary module developed to assess agricultural social practices, addressing specific aspects of workers' health, safety and well-being.
